Long Time No Blog !

Hey Guys !

Oh my goodness, we haven't blogged for so long ! Where to start because we've done so bloody much ! I only have photos from my camera too cos melina's SD card isn't working :/
Also, my camera's battery is constantly flat so I don't have many photos, compared to melina.
Here goes anyway !

Hokkaido was fantastic, I have like zero photos of the place but Melina has lots ! We just soaked in the most amazing Onsens, enjoyed the snow festival and ate great food all day. We went to the chocolate factory that turned out to be a cookie factory and went out to the best yakatori place in the whole country, everything was so good. Even the questionable meats and parts.

We also hung out heaps with a local which we met at the yakatori place . He was such an amazing person and we enjoyed his company so much. Here is a jumble of photos from the two days my camera lasted in Sapporo :/

As you may know, we are now in Tokyo. This place is just out of this world, I can't put it into words. I don't have any photos from the days we went to Shibuya but I took some in Harajuku, a night out with hostel people and the GHIBLI MUSEUM! !!! That was the best time of my entire trip, everything was so beautiful !! I almost cried when I saw his work in beautiful frames and on screen. Couldn't take photos in the museum but I took a sneaky few :D :D :D
We also visited a maid cafe and cat cafe which was bizarre. We also couldn't take photos in the maid cafe but somewhere in the following jumble of photos is a polaroid of myself and your chosen fav maid. I felt like such a dirty old man. It was really fun though !

Okay people are now waiting for the computer so i'm going to stop for now !
Blog soon!

Tokyo

Hey guys!
Sorry we didn't really blog about hokkaido, we didn't really get the chance to and our cameras ran out of battery ( melina's crappy $2 shop adapter fails at fitting the electrical points here), therefore we didn't really capture all the sights. Hokkaido is absolutely stunning, with mountains and lakes laced with snow and of course the large amounts of hot foreign snowboarders.
Anyway, we have finally reached our final destination, Tokyo ! The hustle and bustle stressed poor Melina out, even before we stepped onto the train from Sapporo to Hokadate. We had 3 stop overs on the Shinkansens and one train only gave us 6 mins to swap over. Melina made me stand at the door with all my bags 2 stops before, ready to bolt for the next train. Luckily we caught it with a couple of mins to spare but that was only the start of the craziness.
When we got off the final shinkansen at tokyo station, we were greeted by the notorious japanese rush hour and the labyrinth of train routes. There were people EVERYWHERE, from wall to wall. We lugged our now bursting luggages to the information counter and asked if there was a hostel available cos we arrived to Tokyo a day early ( as we got the shinkansen trains instead of the twilight express which cut our travel time in half ). They shook their heads and said 'Iie, hoooootel only !'. That was when Melina and I started to freak out and demanded to use their phone. They also said no. So we had to jump on a computer in a random tourist information booth outside of tokyo station and in a hurry ( and till now we don't know how the hell we did this ) we booked a room for SIX people at this makeshift hostel. When we got to the hostel, we were just so tired that we just agreed to pay for the booking fee and went out for dinner.
We went to this amazing ramen shop that was run by a man with amazing arms !
So, all is good now :D
Going for crazy shopping tommorow at Shibuya ! We pretty much put aside a third of our saved money for this day, We are so excited !
As for Hokkaido, We'll blog properly about it tmr, now it's time for some beauty sleep to prepare for the shopping spree of our entire lives !! :D :D
Melina says hi, she is checking out maid cafes in Tokyo online, how creepy.

last day in Kyoto!

Hey guys!

It's Melina here, doing the last entry on Kyoto. It is about 11:25pm and we are pooped from exploring the golden pavilion temple and more. We paid 400 yen expecting to see masses of birds flying freely around this cliff top where the temple was but it turned out to be some little golden house in the center of some murky water with giant carps swimming around in it.
The whole pavilion park took about 10 minutes to walk through and it was underwhelming for the price we paid =P

We also went to a John Lennon themed bar with a couple of peeps we met in osaka, it was cute !

Anyway, we stumbled upon a epic sushi restaurant that sold various types of sushi for 1 dollar per plate.

OMG guys, it's Janean now cos I have to tell you about this awesome sushi place!! IT WAS SO COOL. Basically it was a sushi train set out but you could order from the computer screen at your table and the ordered food arrives on a "priority" plate. After you are finished with the plate, you slot it through and it counts the number of plates of demolished food. When you get to a certain amount of plates, music, lights and a video play congratulating you on your number. Then the best part happens, YOU GET A PRIZE :D !! We got a JR train toy for eating more than 10 plates of sushi (we had 12). I just wanted to keep eating to win more free prizes but my tights told me otherwise.

The last photo is Melina having a sleep cos we were told that in an all you eat place in Hiroshima, our friend noticed everyone instantly went to sleep after their meal, hahahah.

We'll be heading to Sapporo tomorrow on a 22 hour train ride in a shared carriage with smokers -_-. We went out with a couple of people that we met in Osaka and they told us they are also going to Sapporo tmr but on a Shinkansen train, their travel tine is half the amount! We are so screwed but wish us luck!

Here are some photos from yesterday, when we were too lazy to blog. Soz :
