last day in Kyoto!

Hey guys!

It's Melina here, doing the last entry on Kyoto. It is about 11:25pm and we are pooped from exploring the golden pavilion temple and more. We paid 400 yen expecting to see masses of birds flying freely around this cliff top where the temple was but it turned out to be some little golden house in the center of some murky water with giant carps swimming around in it.
The whole pavilion park took about 10 minutes to walk through and it was underwhelming for the price we paid =P

We also went to a John Lennon themed bar with a couple of peeps we met in osaka, it was cute !

Anyway, we stumbled upon a epic sushi restaurant that sold various types of sushi for 1 dollar per plate.

OMG guys, it's Janean now cos I have to tell you about this awesome sushi place!! IT WAS SO COOL. Basically it was a sushi train set out but you could order from the computer screen at your table and the ordered food arrives on a "priority" plate. After you are finished with the plate, you slot it through and it counts the number of plates of demolished food. When you get to a certain amount of plates, music, lights and a video play congratulating you on your number. Then the best part happens, YOU GET A PRIZE :D !! We got a JR train toy for eating more than 10 plates of sushi (we had 12). I just wanted to keep eating to win more free prizes but my tights told me otherwise.

The last photo is Melina having a sleep cos we were told that in an all you eat place in Hiroshima, our friend noticed everyone instantly went to sleep after their meal, hahahah.

We'll be heading to Sapporo tomorrow on a 22 hour train ride in a shared carriage with smokers -_-. We went out with a couple of people that we met in Osaka and they told us they are also going to Sapporo tmr but on a Shinkansen train, their travel tine is half the amount! We are so screwed but wish us luck!

Here are some photos from yesterday, when we were too lazy to blog. Soz :
